portfolio: social strategy

From interacting with big brands on Twitter to running campaigns to gain Instagram followers, I am incredibly passionate about social media. I am not only obsessed with social media in my personal life, but also love utilizing social platforms for strategic branding, marketing, and communication. I was the go-to-girl in my M.A. program for all things Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook and always enjoyed live-tweeting classes and conferences. I am interested in and highly-efficient at conducting and understanding social media analytics tools as well as Google Analytics.

In my time at Mindpower, I’ve worked with a fellow team member to create this comprehensive social strategy toolkit for the agency: Mindpower Social Toolkit

In addition to writing extensive social media strategy documents (like the one above), I’ve also created conceptual social media mood boards for local businesses, higher-ed clients, and non-profits. See examples of my social media concept presentations below.

Hendrix College

This is a social concept board I did for Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. Using #BeHendrix, I wrote a variety of posts from multiple perspectives to show the possibilities. I kept this example non-platform-specific to help the client get on board with the general, overarching idea before getting hung up on real world applications.

Moving on from general concepts (above), I also wanted to show what a post would look like in each specific platform.

I chose to write copy in slightly modified tones based on audience.

University of West Florida

For UWF, we suggested using four hashtags in order to differentiate between institutional social, the #MySeaChange community campaign, athletics, and the anniversary.

Webb School

Webb School in Knoxville, TN wanted to educate their community on the true meaning of an independent school.

Webb also wanted to more clearly separate their lower and upper schools, so we suggested using two targeted hashtags rather than one.

I also created this infographic to help clients better understand the ins and outs of Instagram.
